  1. Past hour
  2. All signs point to a shift towards a wet pattern yet this is the three month drought outlook. What is the CPC smoking?
  3. I think I'm fluent in 12 different languages as a result of following your ENSO updates.
  4. For fuckssake, I am maybe 15 southeast of parkton and we have .35 at the farm for the last 36 hours. What an infuriating set of mostly misses - an inexplicable storm approach fall apart and reform situation Thursday evening and then watching the rain shield refuse to budge for half the day yesterday before delivering light rain for hours. We really need better luck than that the next 48 hours - the fields need way more than that given how dry it was coming into this event. Unfortunately, this AM looks south of Fallston - hoping like hell this PM sends a slug of rain to my part of the area.
  5. We’ll probably be close to your temps in a couple hours, ha. Like the overnight never happened.
  6. WB 6Z EURO precip. total through Monday.
  7. South Charlotte between this and the early May rain has been the jackpot in the region
  8. 0.54 for today. 0.06 yesterday. MUCH more (2"+) fell just to my north up in Bath and Highland counties. I'll call that a win, headwaters for both the James and Potomac watersheds. Let's hope for another 1-2 area wide over next couple of days. Currently 52.9/52.0 with light rain here.
  9. WB 6Z EURO. Sunday is now showing more rain as well.
  10. MDT recorded .53 of rain yesterday. Rain deficit for the year stands at -3.18 Let’s see how significant of dent that this weekend’s rain can put into that deficit before we begin Met Summer.
  11. A lot of variation in the guidance on how today goes rain-wise. 3k NAM most rainy and most widespread. Hrrr mostly meh for everyone. Hopefully a euro/NAM blend works out through today and tomorrow.
  12. We had plenty of heat last summer on westerly winds so it was able to come directly to the shore, and in those cases it can be even hotter here than further west since we have downsloping. But as we all know that’s typically rare so we’ll see what this summer does. On Wed it was in the mid 90s right to the coast since we didn’t have cloud debris and stayed on westerly winds.
  13. It’s ridiculous that I need to have heat on in the house this Memorial Day weekend, but here we are…
  14. had .30 yesterday last night the collector fell over so no reading.
  15. when I had the landscaping crew putting in the trees they did a test and the moisture in the ground was like 46%-48%
  16. Another sunny day ahead. Where's all this rain we were supposed to get? Models are struggling with this dry pattern we are still in.
  17. Up in NW Raleigh we got hit a few waves of good rainfall. Ground still saturated this AM and puddles in the yard
  18. I'm almost to .25 since Wednesday. Lots of drizzle now.
  19. 0.02" 2 day total, 1.18" for the month
  20. It’s great if you’re roofing or laying asphalt. That’s about it.
  21. .22” in the gauge this morning and .76” so far.
