81/67. Dews shoT up when winds turned SW. started from a S coast seabreeze and surging northeast as mentioned this morning.
-
Had a nice shelf cloud and wind from that line. Tomorrow looks to be far of a day from a severe standpoint. I wouldn’t sleep on the tornado threat in this area either tomorrow

High of 95 IMBY… central AC decided to not kick on this morning so that’s cool. It’s 90 in my house this evening lol thank god I found an old window unit for my bedroom at least… I’m wondering if anyone hits triple digits in our region tomorrow? This is an impressive early season heat wave. -

-
Stunner if a day. 43F to 85F so far for a 42 diurnal swing.
-
Would love to have one right now because it's roasting here in Eastern N.C. (Worse yet it will be four more days before we break below 90F for a high.) Sure hope this is not a sign of things to come for the next several months. SIGH.
-
It’s upper 60’s here today..tomorrow it will be higher. That guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
-
88.5 in Muttontown & 87.9 in Syosset today for the high.

2026-2027 Strong/Super El Nino
michsnowfreak replied to Stormchaserchuck1's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
A few warm days in any given May are normal. The monthly departure is still colder than avg. Looks like all pre-stromg nino Mays had a max in the mid to upper 80s here. -

Wasn't that long ago when forests were rare in Eastern Massachusetts. Attached is a picture of the old farmhouse probably taken around 1900. If you look over the shed on the right hand side you'll see what looks like a mountain. It's the biggest hill in Sherborn at about 440 ft. You would never notice it from any spot in town. Too many trees.

Snow mixing in with rain at 6300 feet.

2026-2027 Strong/Super El Nino
michsnowfreak replied to Stormchaserchuck1's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
Actually I see it as the opposite. There were a few very disappointed with how last winter turned out cold/wintry. Didn't sit well with them at all so with a big nino coming and better odds for a milder winter, the excitement cant be contained. We will still get winter regardless, but if you want the mild strong el nino pattern, you can say goodbye to any winter sun. No winters are grayer in the already gray Great Lakes than mild nino ones. -
Farming became unprofitable. England never got their forests back.
-
We’re close to 90 today, can’t see the in between, so not sure, but getting 89-Ed is at least secured.
-
And cows. A lot of those walls were used as fencing since wood was scarce and expensive. Interestingly enough you can tell if a farm was used for planting or grazing by the size of the rocks. If you see many small rocks contained in the wall It was most likely tilled.
-
Won't be today, lol. 88.3/61.1 at 5 pm, and the high was 89.0.
-
Made it up to 90 today
- Today

Glad we don't live there.
