  1. Past hour
  2. Looks like between .25-.30 in the gauge, rained for about 30-40 minutes. This is the most rainfall since 8/24 when a similar north to south storm came thru (0.79), again like that event, this one has blown up a bit and raining good down towards Roanoke. Hopefully not as much as back in August for them.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Amazing day today! Summer is back! High of 91, low of 68....oh, and a half inch of MUCH needed rain from a thunderstorm!
  5. .12" here. Helps keep the dust down
  6. Gabrielle looks terrible on satellite photos. Stretched out, mid and low level circulation centers are disconnected. https://zoom.earth/storms/gabrielle-2025/
  7. The Drake! https://x.com/danbury_wx/status/1968447867619533167?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  8. You must like turning on your heat, I don't even want to think about doing that before November
  9. Nice, 0.10” here. Not much but well received
  10. I'm thinking it's quite possible that this has been the longest stretch of "ideal weather" ever.
  11. Going to be a shock to the system when we finally do get some crappy weather. 867 days in a row of gorgeous weather will do that.
  12. 1.1" for this event. A wonderful, badly needed surprise.
  13. Didn't go out to check the gauge but can't be more than .10". Had a brief heavy downpour and then a period of light rain for about 30 min. Will confirm total in the morning.
  14. Man what a Steiner . On Day 10 no rain and another 10-20 coming . The Steining is the hardest part.
  15. What the fook? Just heard thunder .10” on the day so far.
  16. Mostly light rain here but had a couple moderate showers. 0.11" so far. Not great, but more than I thought we'd get when I looked at the models and radar around midday. Still a few more small downpours to our southeast, so hopefully we'll add to it over the next hour or two.
  17. when will a real patter change happen to a prolonged stretch of cooler 50's type weather....
  18. Still some light rain, but received nearly 2.85 inches! Boy, did the HRRR bust!!!! Most rain since early July in my part of the DMV.
  19. I'm just glad it will be after the sun goes down, I'm going to pick up food in about an hour.
  20. wish I had a rain gauge. Definitely got over an 1" of rain here today. It's absolutely pouring
