Yeah. The wind is kind of annoying. Especially trying to bike in it and it is directly in your face makes you feel like you're biking uphill. The pollen is ridiculous. Makes tennis practice impossible as well, blowing the tennis balls everywhere.
-
I cut the grass today and though my yard holds water well and generally looks good into late June, it’s already beginning to show stress this year. I’ll be heading up to the hardware store for a sprinkler after I shower off the pollen. Then, definitely an evening cocktail in the backyard. Maybe one of those 120’s I bought.

Wind is really whipping

80 here and windy, dry AF and Oak tree sperm flying all over the place. Those pollen strings are plied up on the roof. I keep the deck blown off. It's lessening compared to last week, but damn do we need some rain. Drinking a Margarita and trying to motivate myself to go out and water the poor plants.
-
Nice day but the wind is blowing the pollen everywhere. I’m miserable.

87F it's like a blast furnace down here. Cut the lawn and everything is straw and shit is just blowing all over the place. We need some rain out of the system this week!

Good call Scott. Gusts are ripping here
-
86 today great day minus pollen
-
A few gusts in Haverhill, nothing too crazy. 81
-
Some flakes mixing with rain here, temps up to 36. But the forecast really doesn't have any accumulation until the front passes late tonight. So no rational fears of a bust here, just the typical irrational ones.

Hit 72 off a low of 42. Now back down to 69 as the on-shore breeze made it this far inland. Fantastic day for getting literal shit done…
-
Everything here is dying already, you name it, bushes, all the landscape plants bloomed and then the buds froze. Pretty shitty. Fig tree not good - between no soil moisture and up and down temps, freezes and frost have taken its toll.

Don't think I have ever seen this ob in my entire life at this location. Totally crazy......... humidity at a single digit. 7% !!! Everything drying up and dying here. Talked to a nursery about the lack of leaves on the top half of my Crepe Myrtle. The frost/freeze in late April killed a lot of new buds. May bloom late or not at all until next year. Have to keep it watered and fertilized like a new plant to keep it alive.

Amazingly, at 11" now. Snowfall rates are picking up too. This storm is definitely delivering for Larimer County.

Wednesday is another outflow boundary special. May might feel late for the Deep South but early May is still prime time climo down there. LLJ is gonna be veered off quite a bit; but, strong upper-level winds will create robust speed shear and decent directional shear right on the outflow boundary. Said boundary will be key. Away from that locally higher low-level shear the storm relative shear won't quite support tornadoes. I think the narrow 10% is the right call for Wed. Otherwise it's straight wind and perhaps hail from hotter cells. Storm mode looks like a mix of segments and blobs, with a few sups. Valid Wed. May 6

Forget the 1-8 formatting, we have a better chance if the NHL expands the playoffs, preferably to 24 teams (like in 2020), and seed 1-12.
