  1. Past hour
  2. CMC shows my concern regarding the high pressure location.
  3. I fully agree it looks best without the leaves. The silhouette it offers without any other significant trees around gives a very stark and almost haunted vibe. I live about a mile away and can't tell you how many times I've driven past and wanted to take a picture. I need to follow your inspiration and actually do so sometime.
  4. BOS is in East Boston. Very close to the airport.
  5. Hope this doesnt turn out to be a ratter <4” February..
  6. Definitely, just not liking the loss of the high pressure which could result in more mixing/rain in SNE.
  7. There was an mPing report of snow in Raleigh but I haven't seen any flakes yet.
  8. GFS clipped us but bombogenesis right after it passed. Was close to something bigger. Ends up sub 970 low in the Atlantic.
  9. Canadian drives the primary much further north and would be a snow to rain event since it won’t be 12 degrees at the start like the last time we had this setup.
  10. There's still time for this thing to come north.
  11. It definitely has been a stein winter. I really cannot remember a winter with as many blue bird days. Really incredible.
  12. This may be the rare occasion that I'm not excited at all with what a model shows.
  13. Many thanks! I live not that far from there so I've passed that school along Rockville Pike and have seen that tree many times. Always wanted to get some shots of it over the years...and finally a couple of years ago I made a point to do so. Have gotten a few photos of it since then, mainly in winter (the sparseness of the branches and how it stands out are more stunning, I think, with no leaves). Interesting side-note about that: I think sometime a year or so ago that one large branch at the bottom got cut off due to a bad storm. It actually used to extend farther out to the left side. Here's what I got (if I may) from almost exactly 3 years ago (Feb. 2023)...I actually like this shot that I took of the tree the most, using a creamy sort of black/white. It was taken later in the day (plus no snow on the ground then, grrr!), and it has that larger branch extending to the left. I like how it just stands out more, like a silhouette.
  14. Probably not. They'd just stay and make terrible posts and get mocked as they currently do, so....
  15. Correct. All are welcome, just want it free of complaining and emotional breakdowns after every run that has an undesirable outcome. Drama free, and no random posts of maps without explanation. No snow maps until guidance agrees on a storm.
  16. Was what the GFS and ICON showing a Miller A type of storm with low coming from SE? Pardon my ignorance.
  17. Where are the BOS and ORH snow obs taken from now?
  18. Potentially a record breaker for Boston?
