This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. its mine as well. Steady pingers have commenced. Winter time version of pingers on a tin roof is much better than summer time rain on same roof.
  3. That's pretty bullish in eastern area.....(3-5 in Plymouth County). I'd be surprised if the Southcoast gets more than 2". In any case, I'll let the wife know she needs to head down there with a shovel.
  4. That is a slam band for sure now east of BGM. Hope that keeps ripping east
  5. Glaze update from about 20 min ago. Been all light freezing rain for a little bit with some heavier stuff on the doorstep, which is likely the steadier stuff that ends up in the Sus Valley closer to 0z per the HRRR’s take. Temp here has been floating between 27-28ºF so ice is having no trouble accumulating on the non treated surfaces. Lot of accidents being reported around town and on I-99 this afternoon.
  6. I think when the precipitation intensity is lower it will be ZR and as it gets heavier most spots will be sleet. Temp here continues to slowly fall down to 25.2 with DP up to 15.8 The next heavier band should be moving in from the west during the 5pm hour
  7. I call baloney on that. Last storm was definitely 4” for most of us and so was 2/13/24, most of city had 4-6”. For what it’s worth, south Queens, Brooklyn; and Staten Island had 6-8” from the 2/17/24 snowstorm but I know that heavy band didn’t reach Central Park. But the other 2 storms reached 4”, they just don’t measure properly
  8. Ok Joes 4 n 1 brethren....Love that friggin grill, stick smokin awesome built meat cooker. I've had mine 10 yrs old and goin strong. stick smokin took me a bit to get used to, but i'm getting there. My Green Mtn pellet does a nice job, and is easier to cook on, but man, you just can NOT beat the flaver a stick burner puts out. Enjoy. Oh.... and ice glaze w/ zr/ip mix earlier. In a lull now but happy hour looks less happy for any on the roads. Be safe and happy holidays all.
  9. Still very early.. but radar in NY state and fronto maps look much more NAM like
  10. Talk about a thump, would love to be up that way right now! .
  11. RGEM is doing a better job with the main 700mb FGEN axis than the NAM, which looks too far north
  12. Yes..had a bit of sleet, looked out everything looked wet so went to my car and it's glazed over already. That ice storm warning might have to be shifted eastward if it's zr already.
  13. Moderate Sleet. 25/12. Per radar this sleet is moving rapidly eastwards.
