  1. Past hour
  2. That's impossibly low. Lee Goldberg on WABC reported that the SST in our areas were between 60-65 but pointed out that Montauk was the warmest at 73 and that's why the temperature there was 78 at 4 PM. 69 in S NJ. The only place I'd imagine having a 53 degree SST would be somewhere around Greenland. edit oh you wrote 58 not 53 lol, that's a little more reasonable and closer to the 60-65 temperature Lee Goldberg reported for the south shore. But I wonder where he came up with the 73 degree SST for Montauk?
  3. Modeling suggest the worse of the heat out West this year. NW may fry. Also, there is a signal for normal, to at times above normal precip, in our area through the summer.
  4. That is pretty unconventional but very cool. What a neat symbiotic relationship. I don't think that's feasible in suburbia, but I wouldn't mind a neighborhood cat taking an interest. There was one hanging around a few years ago that looked stray. It made a run at the hens, ha.
  5. Thank you for this… I am already done with Summer & we are just getting started. We are getting a new HVAC system installed later next week. In the meantime, I am squeezing out what little chill is left in the old system, which isn’t much. I have it set at 72 & we have been hovering near 80 in the house today.
  6. Don’t let the warm trolls bother you. We get 2 days of seasonal warmth & out they come. At least we don’t need to suffer through all of the “Drought” maps anymore.
  7. I like all the seasons. No need to rush any of ‘em. It’s awesome having more daylight. That whole meso is wild
  8. have you looked at the GFS and Euro? no consistent heat at all HHH nervous
  9. The saturation certainly can help in that regard. In fact, something to monitor heading into summer. More rain can dampen *No pun intended* some of the higher temperature forecasts due to the low-level moisture leftover. Slightly higher dews and slight lower air temps. Still feels hot, but different. Southwesterly winds can of course curb some of that, but that could be a theme this year if rain continues early in the season.
  10. it's good to see we all made it into the 80s!!
