  2. There was never a drought of rain this summer. Some confused posters thought that was the issue. There were some dry periods but no drought. The drought message and issue this summer was no tstorms. Just boring meh light- moderate rain events. That was the drought
  3. Augusta County rainfall in storms Sat. eve ranged from 0.00 to 0 .86". I came in with 0.52".
  4. Chilly morning with mid 30's-40's inland, 50's along the shore. Probably isolated frost in some spots.

  6. Low of 63 with .59” of rainfall from the overnight line of storms. This month is starting to climb the record books for me. I’ll check my spreadsheet tomorrow but I think I’m over 13” for the month. Should be a beautiful few days ahead. We are hitting the river today.
  7. BDR east along 95 will see some flash flooding , a surprise inch here this morning, hopefully it holds together to get the drought stricken areas from Tolland to Taunton and Weymouth Mass.
  8. Newark had hourly rainfall of 1.25" (1.41" so far today). Flash flooding was reported in the vicinity of Newark Airport. LaGuardia picked up 0.95" rain in an hour and 1.44" over two hours. Despite the theoretical estimate that storm drains in New York City Area can handle 1.75"/hour rainfall, the practical reality is that once hourly amounts approach or reach 1.00"/hour, flooding begins to occur. That parts of New York City have seen flooding as per social media and Newark experienced flash flooding this morning is another illustrative case that the practical capacity is lower than the theoretical capacity.
  9. Incredible rainfall rates right now. My Davis recorded a rainfall rate of over 6"/hr at one point. Not sure about accuracy of that, but the rates are definitely up there. Been raining for about a half hour now and already up to 1.23" and climbing fast. The end is near though! Streets are completely flooded. Storm drain across the street overflowed. I only seen that a couple times in my life
  10. .70 here from this morning’s rain.
  11. PA Weather Plus, ** PENNSYLVANIA TORNADO COUNT 2026 ** Pennsylvania is now up to 41 confirmed tornadoes for 2026! An EF2 tornado has been confirmed in eastern York County and an EF1 in western Lancaster County from the severe thunderstorms this past Thursday, August 20th. It has been quite the severe weather season, and we are not done yet, with strong storms expected throughout the weekend. The 41 tornadoes are the 3rd most recorded in the state, followed by 44 in 2021 and 59 in 1998. To put it into more perspective, Pennsylvania has seen more tornadoes than Nebraska (37) and Texas (33), and we are not far behind Kansas (44) and Oklahoma (47). How do you feel that Pennsylvania is ranking up with some of the traditional 'Tornado Alley' states?
  12. At best its been that here for most of the Summer. July was good, then dry for August until the past week. Probably good to go now heading into a Nino Fall.
  13. 11.82 in July/August thus far. More than enough
