93 the highest I've recorded with an index of 102 so thats kinda normal. Usually get some of those a few times a summer. We had solid broken CU field until noon so that helped slow them down a bit today. Overnight lows in the upper 70's to 80 is the killer. Surprisingly, until this afternoon we've had decent afternoon breezes also.

THIS. I don’t think enough people are familiar with that area. I won’t speak to any type of agenda but his station setup is probably about as good as it gets for a home station. I’ve at times compared his monthly departures to MDT’s monthly departures and they seem mostly consistent.

My PWS touched 104.0 while others in the area were around the same or 105. Probably 102-103 in reality

High temperatures across NJ today from Rutgers Weather Network. Most max heat index readings were between 108-115. There were some readings in excess of 115 over parts of NJ. Even as high as 120 over the southwest corner of the state. Hot day! One more similar day tomorrow. Still hot Saturday but "less hot".

Plenty of rain coming Monday and Tuesday.. Everything shows it. Not just the euro as some have wrongly claimed.

Hello to all. I finally decided to stop lurking here as I have for several years and decided to sign up and join in on the fun. I have learned a lot of things pertaining to Meteorology from many of the members here. I do not have any where close to the knowledge that many of you have and I will not try to pretend that I do. So I will basically lay low, except for contributing my weather observations, particularly during winter. And perhaps chiming in on memories of snowstorms from the late 1960's on. I'm 65 and the earliest memory I have of any snowstorm was the 1967 NYC Blizzard in early February and the "Lindsay Snowstorm" in 1969. I have a Vantage Pro 2 Davis Weather Station and have also kept a hand written daily weather log since 1987. And I guess time will tell whether or not I prove to be a weather/snow weenie. P.S. My maximum temperature today was 101.4 degrees, which occurred at 4:10 PM. My location is in Eastern Passaic County, New Jersey

I'm just going to publicly say that there was a time when I didn't believe/trust his numbers. I 100% do now.
