  1. Past hour
  2. Light freezing rain here west of Franklinton since about 9pm. 17 degrees. Has mixed back to sleet a few times. Ground is white and trees are glazed already.
  3. I think 6 or 7 inches is over aggressive, we got to hope that it snows like there is no tomorrow to get that accumulation because it’s looking more and more like the change over is coming quicker and quicker, I’ll sign up right now for 3 to 5 inches in the city and 6 to 8 in my area here in Rockland county and points north and west before the changeover
  4. I used to have that kind of passion for big snowstorms. Life and surroundings eventually beat it out of me . The best thing about this one is that everyone should get in on the good stuff. I don't know how old you are but you still seem kind of young. The area you live in gets a decent # of chances historically. It could be worse young fellá, you could live outside of Brattleboro VT or in Springfield MA where I am. .t5_
  5. Rewatching old Bruce Schwoegler broadcasts to set the mood?
  6. Sooooo fine and powdery. Accumulating with ease though. Nice returns nearby! Go time 15 degrees
  7. Almost every model has us mix between 1 and 2 now but we get 6-7" before that and then of course whatever sleet we get on top which should be heavy for at least 3 or 4 hours
  8. Nothing really new it is just been like ten years since we have had an Arizona east coast storm. To bad we could not get the coastal to take over sooner and stronger .
  9. you have more to learn about climo, grasshopper. there’s a reason Millville came out here for this storm. .5” on the deck now.
  10. House is quiet with wife and 4 little ones fast asleep....just sittn', smile', listening to old school NOAA weather radio. Hand may, or may not be sneaking into pants.
  11. This is the finest sandiest snow I’ve ever seen accumulate. Also the roads are already caved in Gaithersburg.
  12. I'm really unsure how long I'll be holding at 32, I sort of expected to see temps begin climbing fast after midnight but still getting freezing rain. Trees have a good bit of droop. Hoping it doesn't get stuck all night right at freezing. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro XL using Tapatalk
  13. That's widespread 18"+ amounts. Impressive, let's do this!
  14. Listen, I hope you’re 110% right, I’m just seeing what I’m seeing, and it doesn’t look good
  15. Same as it’s been all afternoon…literally unchanged
