  1. Past hour
  2. here too-we are not geting 1/4 of an inch of ZR lol
  3. It’s icy out this way. Sleet/freezing rain mix. Salt trucks are out. 30 degrees Per my wife’s co-worker (who lives near Ogdensburg) Sussex County has schools closed.
  4. Between 7-8 inches here in north facing areas, grass in the south facing hills
  5. Kind of a crappy look for the next few weeks. Parade of weak shortwaves with showers every other day
  6. Snow to start maybe a touch or ZR but should rot at 32.5 for awhile
  7. M0.5" storm total snowfall, M0.05" storm total zr, Reisterstown.
  8. Without any advection or lower Td air I doubt we’ll have accretion levels like that.
  9. Be darned, snowing here after a half hour of sprinkles. 34 F
  10. This is one of the more remarkable aspects of this winter. To go potentially 7+ weeks with one very light duster from early February to the later half of March. Also as we’ve come to know all too well; it may very well get cold but no guarantees for accumulating snowfall.
  11. they've added EID here and some places have added lunar new year and diwali. We're usually out before 6/19 since we don't do Feb break which is good since half the schools still don't have AC
  12. -12 of fake cold this morning, possibly the season's last subzero, 99% it's the last double-digit below.
  13. Sleet for about an hour and now been steady ZR since than as of 9am freezing rain and 30.8 degrees. Deck is of course a sheet of ice
  14. Man, looking at the ensembles, the public is gonna feel some whiplash....potential record highs for a day or two next week (if things break right....but even if they don't, it would still be quite mild)....then that PV presses south and we go back into a winter pattern.
  15. In a lot of cases, yeah. I think the only holiday that has been added is Juneteenth, which is at an annoying time of year, but it is what it is... Right now, my students have to come back for a half day on Monday the 22nd... ugh
  16. The difference is that in 2018, as well as in 2017, we had record warm Februarys. It shouldn't be surprising that things corrected, and we got snowy Marches those years. That's nothing like what we have this year. We had a cold and snowy February (and winter overall), like 2010. Things corrected in the opposite direction, and we got a warm March and the below average temperatures never came back (until the following winter). I feel like we closer to this scenario than 2017 and 2018.
  17. The deck was icey for sure! Had to clean it for the dog and family not to slip. Roads are fine, but the trees, combined with the wet snow from yesterday, are weighted down quite a bit. 31.7 degrees! Just a little bit longer for winter's last gasp and then the warm up begins.
  18. Received my first misquito bite of the season on the golf course Sunday. Got me on the calf before I could swat it away. Guess from now until November I will need to be all sprayed up...
  19. This was in Sunday’s Post, one can only hope lol
