    Winter 2025-26

Ouch very warm dry all winter in Texas. NWS is a genius. We will be extremely hot and dry thru the winter in south Texas. Meanwhile in other news.......numerous nor'easters smash into DCA along with anomalous cold and snow after snow after snow after snow. It gets so dry in TX that the Diaspora begins, people leaving for moister and rainier pastures. Nothing can live in our 1930s Dust Bowl. Long range forecasts paint a very dismal picture indeed of the Southwest including Texas. almost no rain at all right into Summer 2026. Also no help from the Tropics: No hurricane landfalls expected in 2026 either, irregardless of ENSO. I know why but I am not saying. I want hurricane ravaging of the US coastlines back. I miss 2005 so much. The eastern US will have anomalous cold along with record snowpacks, followed by a dismal chilly "spring" followed by an anomalously cool summer 2026 with plenty of rain from May 2026 onward, after a very snowy low sun period. Many industries now moving into Texas will be leaving next year: Too Damn DRY - No water and notable dust storms reminiscent of Arizona and other places that normally get dust storms. Texas gets renamed The Haboob State, in place of The Lone Star State. This is the future and the present folks, read em and weep. Lots factories are gonnabe getting out of Austin soon. WATER will be costlier than GOLD or even gasoline.
  5. Finally, a decent rain shower....

  10. Anyone have peak wind gusts for today? Winds have gotten very strong over the last 30 minutes.
  11. 38 and moderate rain and graupel in Wolf. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
  12. I don’t disagree and I was certainly happy to see the storm at the gulf coast play out. I think everyone’s frame of view is just relative to climo. As @wncsnowalluded to: I grew up in a foothillls era where missing snow in a season was a glaring anomaly. Now it’s sort of expected. Just a different time!
  13. @EastCoast NPZ getting good rains
  14. I’m on the fire Joe Whitt train. The defense played better under Rivera and that’s saying something
  15. I don’t know. Probably for at least the next week or longer.
  16. It’s unfortunate that they don’t verify their numbers before going on air. It is not a difficult task.
  17. Last 70 for the season Don? I think it's always highly suspect to predict the last 70 because it can be 70 in the middle of winter too, I remember we have hit 70 a few times in January including January 2006 here, 11 years to the day that we got the Blizzard of 1996 lol.
  18. my allergies calmed down after around 2 PM, maybe the wind died down around then or did the humidity get lower? Or both lol
  19. Yes 70 areawide including the south shore! It was sunny pretty much all day right up until sunset here too! TV Mets messed up the high again and said it was 69 lol
  20. Today was about as perfect as it gets
  21. Yea, IDK...I grade based off of the official index calculations....I mean, I forecasted a -WPO, so it's not like doing so helps me lol It is what it is.
  22. I blame McLaurin. Hold out all summer and unsurprisingly gets injured. And his hold out was a distraction all training camp. Overrated Overpayed
  23. I got to give this woman credit. (Pictured, her mother putting ice on a sting) Moments later she picked two out of her beer and flicked 'em. I appreciate people who value beer.
  24. May get first Flakes early November in Valley Locations.
  25. Larry it definitely was a historical event to remember..im glad yall got nailed.
  26. Not for me. We usually have to wait many years and sometimes several decades between big winter storms. We loved our 3” of sleet, easily the heaviest sleet on record! Just like you guys love your snow, we loved our sleet and look forward to the next big winter storm in whatever decade that will be if we’re fortunate enough to still be around to enjoy it. And even if we had gotten nothing, just seeing a historic wx extreme like they had in FL of nearly a 10” max last winter would still have been fascinating on its own to follow. I don’t get upset when places south of us get a winter storm and I don’t.
