2026-2027 Record-breaking El Nino

I think it's significant in the absolute sense in that a scenario where the ONI is higher is indicative of a different Pacific landscape than if the RONI were higher, however, I agree regarding the data source variation....it's likely just data set differences. -

Thankfully in terms of ranking we don't rank with tornado alley in intensity. Anything over EF3 is usually pretty rare in most of the state and slightly less rare in the western half. Still very impressive. We might be able to beat 2021 but 1998 might be hard to beat unless the fall season is very active -

Yeah its absurd how fast it grows. Usually we get that dormant period like Scooter has but 2 times mowed in 5 days. -

CAMs not showing much but I'm really curious to see if we can pop anything this afternoon. CAMs are more bullish to our northwest (which makes sense) but we're going to break out into some degree of sun (at least up to and WOR) and should destabilize rapidly. Mid-levels become rather dry, however, I don't think that would be a negative today because the llvls are quite moist so air rising rapidly would negate that a bit and this would also help strengthen downdraft potential. LCL and LFC are also relatively close throughout the day so it isn't going to take much to get parcels to really accelerate. Coverage isn't going to be widespread but any means but I think we'll see at least a few decent cells with 1-1.25" hail and strong wind gusts. -
70 with 58 dews. My balls are enjoying this. Good lawn mowing weather
