    Out at the cabin...it's a breezy 82F. Though it is a tad humid so I had to close the windows and put the A/C on for a few hours til the sun drops down. Some patchy clouds moved in so that should hold temps down a bit.

    Our seasonal snowfall since 1993-1994 around NYC Metro has shifted to all or nothing.Meaning nearly all the seasons have been well above or well below average. Very few fall in the middle anymore like they used to prior to the last 30 years. So our decadal average snowfall has been determined which category in the all or nothing game wins out. Long term since the 1800s snowfall has been declining as winters and springs get warmer.

    It's nasty but we got screwed if people are enthusiastic about heat trophies. The big kahuna heat is NY Metro to EWR and western L.I.... most NWS sites tucked in there are 98 to 103 at 11:30 am!!! BOOM us...? hot, but pedestrian so far. I really think that weird surviving convection - that by synoptic convention should not have... - sending that outflow basically ruined us for contention in this thing for today. Tomorrow may have a shot with unperturbed overnight heat setting stage better.

    Nothing beats watching the Phillies on UPN 57 in the 90s when Mike Lieberthal would put his feet in buckets of cold water in between innings. The Vet was its own hell hole, but man we loved it.
