As a truck driver, I can say that you're a lucky person. In my profession, I wish I could be off until March 1. I would enjoys snow storms much more with a winter layoff.

Yes. But from a practical standpoint with some almost guaranteed mixing the flash freeze post system might make it very difficult. -

Don't you have 24 hours? That's what most towns are. And LOL at the name showing 6 to 8 inches in westfield, but none in Simsbury where I'm covering my friend's plow route. Definitely won't happen because I'm really not looking forward to plowing this storm -
ISP will probably finish November with a positive temperature departure.

Probably can get company for your night for less than that!

First Winter Storm to kickoff 2025-26 Winter season

Its basically replacing the NAM in 2026. though last I heard the NAM may run for another year or so. Its much better than the HRRR it seems on ptype in winter events. The HRRR just is always too cold in the mid-levels. The biggest negative is no MOS data will be available which sucks as we will now have the GFS MOS and that is all. -

Yeah. I’ve got a not so great feeling about it. The Giants might be hitting them at the worst time. -

RFSS? I’ve never looked at that one -
Im thinking about staying in Thurmont tomorrow night so I can get an extra early start in the Catoctins Tuesday morning. I'm thinking up at 1500' and above should get 2-3". Maybe 3-5" on the highest trails.

I sometimes go back to MD for work, and yeah I grew up in the county. Monkton is just a few miles up the road. -
Like 5-6 mins from my place.

Again, this model shows 3º C vs -1º C on the Euro at 850 @ 0z Wed for this area. Would you go with an experimental model or the Euro at this point if you had to make a forecast? -

Welcome back. You're down in Cockeysville? My daughter's in Monkton. -
Oh wow, thanks! I will be in that area from Waynesboro over to your hood, so somewhere in there I will be stopping. Always great to have options. Thanks to you and Mitch for the suggestions!

E PA/NJ/DE Winter 2025-26 Obs/Discussion
Albedoman replied to LVblizzard's topic in Philadelphia Region
bullseye is south mountain/macungie- my house --should be under a winter storm watch based on this model. Mt Holly no time to be bashful. The drivers in the LV have not seen snow in a long time. At least get them concerned about this storm event. Its border line warning criteria I know but least get them prepared under a watch. Too many times in the last few years , an advisory level event has turned into double digit snowfall events
