euro and CMC keep the main TPV lobe farther west, GFS and ICON have it leaking east which suppresses heights downstream

If the GFS is right and it’s a 30mi strip or so that’s gonna get the snow, we won’t know for a few days. Wouldn’t get hung up on where it is. Just nice to have something in the area.

Drizzle here as the main slug of precip exits. Looks like we got about 1/2” of snow. I expected a grassy dusting at most so I’m happy with the slight overperformance. Now let’s hope Saturday night-Sunday becomes a nice plowable event.

While I am witnessing the urbanization of suburbia (central Union County, NJ) I am still under the impression that the temperature increases are more due to the effects from the GulfStream/Labrador current. It has been discussed here in the past.
