I don't see how this can go that wrong for like 90% of the subforum, the Icon is super amped and still 6+ inches, the gfs is flat crap and still 6+ inches. I'm conservative in the sense I'm not expecting 12+ area wide although I guess the 12+ zone would be the part that will be fine tuned over the next few days.

I'm wondering because of the magnitude of the storm if Maryland will issue a state of emergency like they did for past big storms

WB 21Z NBM shaved some snow off far southern zones compared to 18Z.

When the phase happens with energy going over gl with the energy in the Pac NW and Baja, we get the SE ridge in response and poleward she goes. When we need a triple phase bomb further east these things fly to the 4 corners of the globe to avoid it.

Best GEFS yet. Much better than OP which was probably more fluky than anything. They usually send them out for most major, impactful systems and it helps refine forecasts and gives us more data which is always good but it won't have huge ramifications for this type of system. If we were talking a Boxing Day scenario where 50 miles in track made all the difference then sure.
