    I love a lot of his data, but the instinct to compulsively extinguish any potential hope for winter is uncanny....it's like Robo Cop or Terminator...whereas you don't even have to explicitly express optimism, but if his sensors flag data he perceived as something that could theoretically engender even a modicum of hope, he pounces.

    Woke up to a thunderstorm in Henderson, NV. Why did I have to come here for weather? I'm in a state of disbelief at the stretch of weather back east. Has it rained there the past 2 weeks?

    If a cold November is correlated with a cold winter, then there's no reason why snow in November should be correlated with a warm winter. Probably coincidental in my view.

    SWS for Wildfire today because I don't think it's rained here in a month. The point and click also removed all mentions of rain for the next week. The next precipitation I see here may be snow.

    Looks like HGR will end up with a top 20 warmest Oct (58.4 Mean as of yesterday) but they had one day with what I remember to be severe related qpf so not near any monthly records at 2.33" total.

    Based on your graph, the 0Z 10/30 Euro is calling for the avg of Nov 1-15 to be ~-1 m/s. That’s ~16 lower than the next lowest for any Nino since 1950 (2009), which was near +15, and ~26 lower than the avg for El Niño since 1950: 26: projected -1 09: +15 04: +16 58: +17 06: +18 Avg Nino +25

    Huh? Why does something need to be more impressive than something else? It's all impressive. I'm just not all that surprised by that. That's what super el nino does.

    Been averaging 12-13” a winter since I moved back here including the 2022-23 rat. This prediction triples that, so I’d love to see it actually happen. I’m a tad more bearish but we only need one storm!

    Yes remember having no power as the snowstorm came. Not to many places have a hurricane and then a snowstorm a week later.
