  1. Past hour
  2. 25 degrees this morning here, now up to 29. Flurries on and off. Had some awesome and intense graupel and flurries yesterday. NW of Staunton in Augusta County
  3. If Atlanta gets November flurries then there’s no way we’ve reached the point where we’ve permanently lost the 1996, 2003, 2016 tier storms.
  4. KJRB: Manhattan/Wall Street Heliport, NY, United States [43kt, 22m/s] KRSP: Campd David, MD, United States [49kt, 25m/s] Within the past couple hours. Heliport elevated but the idea is there. Supports the Queens ob of 45 MPH (39kt)
  5. We did have an X5 flare this morning so don’t discount anything if you can get somewhere dark. Waiting for more info on it though. Hopefully clouds won’t ruin it.
  6. 12/25/10-2/1/11 was the snowiest stretch of my entire life. All throughout the NYC area there was 20”+ on the ground which is incredibly rare for any kind of extended period. The two highlights for me were 20” on 12/26 and 16” on 1/27. But on 2/1 we had the SWFE type event and the winter flipped to favorable for the Midwest which is almost always unfavorable here.
  7. Same here... first frozen was last week on Nov 6 with those graupel showers. today there are wind sent single flakes ... really sparse but they are there if one is nerdy enough to study the air. ha
  8. Pretty clear it was over much more than Nov 11th. Agree that at least the first half of December looks good, but lets see it produce. There have been several "giddy up" patterns over the course of the past several years that just dissapointed.
  9. 100% this is not a snow look. We get snow only when the rockies torch under a huge ridge. Which is extremely unlikely now that we're in a nina. I see a BN winter ahead, at least south of Boston.
  10. Seeing my first light flurries of the season here. A look at traffic cams along I80 and I84 in NE PA shows widespread light snow and flurries with light accumulations especially above 800-1000 ft. This is heading out towards northern New Jersey.
  11. Hoping for a good winter BWI: 22” DCA: 19.5” IAD: 24” RIC: 11” SBY: 7”
  12. Had ice in any potters that I didn’t empty from the rain the night before.
  13. Since March 2018, there have been 3 events that I was honest to goodness thrilled with, enjoyed and wasn't dissapointed. 12/2019 snow event, 2/1/2021 and 1/7/2024.
  14. We didn’t get as cold as forecast here but did have a hard freeze. Bottomed out at 30.0 and were at/below freezing for 6 hours
  15. Meltdowns Nov 11 over not getting snow in SNE really takes the cake. Those posters are not living in reality. Ave snow is 2 inches and the great majority of that is after Tday. I suppose it makes them feel better but cmon get real.
  16. Was just outside…felt dam cold/winter like cold. Not too shabby for 11/11 imo. We take.
