  2. You always say big heat though so in Summer at some point you'll be right.. congrats though.. hope your swimming in ass sweat this week
  3. Ya its kind of hard to be wrong when you always say big heat.. its kind of like me saying its going to be cold all the time and then it eventually happens
  4. We cooked. 84 was the predicted high here today it’s 89 currently. Might close in on mid 90s tomorrow. Wed-Sat going to be brutal
  5. 2006-7 had a full turnaround; IIRC middle of January went from record torch in NYC area to lots of cold and snow, with Valentine's Day IP blizzard.
  6. The p&c numbers are lol. 103 and 102 at WXW1 on Thursday and Friday. I’ll go 100 and 99.
  7. man - we're looking at an easy 89-90F probably for the high on NE / ENE wind today. Yikes.
  8. 91 temps exceeded a little today. Very isolated showers popped only in EPA.
  9. There's enough mixing to get us there. The prolonged drought and peak sun will help a lot too. I'd be surprised if at least a couple places don't hit 105+
  10. How anyone couldn’t have seen that ridge building east had to have been drinking. We knew and we tried to tell. They beer and played with blue crayons .
  11. yeah that "corn sweat" must be maxing out lol.
  12. the fact that we are easily getting into the upper 80s today is concerning.
  13. Make sure you stand under a big tree so you don't get too wet
  14. 12z Euro is very hot and gets us up around 105. Obviously the Euro was overdoing it a few days ago when it was showing 110, but I'll be surprised if we don't get up to 104 or 105.
  15. Thunderstorms popped up along the Savannah River ~1-1.5 hours ago. They’re moving in a somewhat unusual SE direction and one is about to get going here. Some rain drops just started falling and I hear plenty of thunder.
  16. I’ve learned that any location with “horse” in the name, whether in Canada or the U.S., seems to be amazingly wintry: -Deadhorse in Alaska -Whitehorse in Yukon, Canada -Darkhorse Lake and Hungry Horse in Montana
  17. Didn't it hit 104 in Harrisburg in July 16, 1988, I just checked it did I remember that day. Severe thunderstorms came through later in the afternoon.
  18. Thanks. But otoh, doesn’t the hot RDU sensor, itself, often end up verifying warmer unlike everywhere else?
  19. It was a scorcher. I was strapped into the family sedan in a suit. My birthday suit.
  20. I've noticed RAH does a poor job of picking up on the warm bias the GFS and Euro have. Always seem to be a few degrees warm
  21. @sauss06 turned 40 in 1966, I believe. How hot was that summer, Jon?
  22. Today
  23. 1982-83 and 2015-16 are probably my favorite analogs as of now
