  2. 1988 was a hot summer, but came to an end in mid-August. The last 90-degree day at PHL was on 8/17. That one turned cold so fast, and produced one of the coldest Octobers of all time, even colder than 1976.
  3. With PHL's 90 today its their 38th of the season and move the to their most ever 12 more than EWR (26).
  4. Today's Highs: PHL: 90 New Brnswck: 86 EWR: 85 LGA: 85 TTN: 85 TEB: 84 NYC: 83 ACY: 82 ISP: 82 JFK: 82 BLM: 82
  5. It has to be organized properly. Once you learn how to use it, it’s much more efficient and can look back at old threads just as easy.

  9. I am so happy about this super nino. It is going to be amusing watching so many torrential storms pile up water in the southeastern US this autumn, winter and in Spring 2027!
  10. You sure about that? That seems kind of unbelievable. Would shatter some records. I know Tyhoon Dolphin recently got down to 5430dm or something in its core.
  11. Southern end of the island is ganna get continuous eye wall for the whole storm
  12. Not too shabby considering how far that is from the center (maybe it's gradient induced)
  13. It’s been fascinating to watch the impact on the structure of the hurricane too. This is the best it’s looked, but once it passes to the west it should get disrupted for a bit.
  14. I am very intrigued about this winter. There is so much oceanic heat wrt normal (what the hell does that mean anymore) that anything is possible. I've seen more than one long range forecast that depicts areas N of 40 deg being at or even a little below normal due to the wobbly 'polar vortex'. I think that's a long shot but by using the Tug as a base of operations, all else being equal, it's certainly positions us better than most. I did a chase up in Canada two years ago and it was a lot of fun and there are some serious bay effect areas SE of James/Hudson Bay. Ironically, Canada's plowing suuuuucks, so I have what amounts to seat belts for my tires. It's designed to be a bit more pleasant to drive on than traditional chains while still providing traction. I also purchased a Bluetti that will essentially turn my truck cabin into a living room for up to 3 days so @dailylurker and I can be completely mobile. If it's 38 and rain in New York, welp, filler up and head north.

  16. Amazing how much difference the topography of Hawaii makes. It’s been calm wind with occasional light showers all day here in Kona, although the wind is now ripping. The leeward side of the island has been battered all day
  17. Yeah this is the part about Philly fans I just cannot understand! I mean bruh...THREE SBs and winning two of those three? I mean outside of being Chiefs fans it literally does not get better than that. That is some bottomless angst right there, lol
  18. Os tied for the final wc spot. Such a strange season.
  19. This thread has become into a bitch session from i said and you said and im right and you are wrong, its become quite comical ,its not even weather realated and some of yall talk about humility, you should act it than preach it
  20. Not entirely. There was a handful of tornado warnings north of Dayton with a confirmed one with damage reports near New Paris. Local news got some amazing pics/videos of well defined wall clouds and funnels.
  21. This niño looks to be crazy strong. Nobody denying that. The key if we get cold will be if the niño stays east based. If it does, it will be more difficult to see cold weather compared to central based or east central based imo. Only take one winter storm to make a season. Still way out there but important nonetheless
