lol... but, heh ... this seems more like a 'figures' thing.    if someone is 'panicked', they deserve it for actually filtering expectations, when plunking an el bigombo on top of a 150 years of unchecked cc

The meltdowns are going to be epic. ...

hmm...  We made 74 for a high T today, with considerable cloud contamination.

Just looking at the sounding for tomorrow.  With less critical ceiling level RH ( meaning more sun), a warmer starting T/launch, and an even warmer mixing column ...  yeeeeah, 80 is possible.

We may keep this stretch of weather well into the second half of the month...obviously with some "cooler" periods with any weak fronts. But its pretty crazy being in November and a cold FROPA still results in temperatures above climo

All time El Nino...

76-77 Montreal...

Typical Strong (and super strong) EL Nino climo seems to have become established much sooner and more quickly than previous events but this shouldn't be shocking given how much earlier this Nino materialized, how rapidly it strengthened, and the general state of the PAC all-together. All this talk around of PV split and blah and NAO this and AO that...if people are thinking that is going to net a colder pattern or a stormier pattern for our region I think they're mistaken. People automatically assume these configurations automatically equate to Northeast weather...they are just as big of a player on the pattern across Europe.

Check the temp in boston for 12/24/2014......tell me if it was close to 73/74...

I’m talking here inland in CT.  So It was 60 on Xmas Eve in 2014 at BDL.  And it was a few degrees warmer than that at my locale.  2015 was even more crazy with 69 at BDL, and 70 plus here.   So both ‘14 and ‘15 were record breaking at BDL for Xmas eve.  Boston near the water I’m sure was cooler.
