There was a show titled Doomsday Preppers but while that had some end of the world scenarios it primarily was about how people were preparing for catastrophic events.

Another interesting show is "While the Rest of US Die"

My favorite  was one of the shows when they combined Nostradamus w/ the Mayan calendar 2012.  Stupid!

Speaking of Nostradamus, this shows that media fear-mongering is nothing new.  This scared me as a kid!

Since the WAA is continuous through the day and not in place for the start, the absolute max potential for temp is not realized, much to CoastalWx's dismay.

Christmas Day 2015 baby.  Only time in 70 years without a trace of snow at the CO-OP stake.  Not even ice on the cliffs.  Had a couple nights cold enough to blow a white ribbon, ha.

I’d have to look it up… but nothing is sticking out in a memorable way.

Looking at the snow depth there was a decent gain in the first half of December that plateaued for a while before a Xmas thaw hit.  Snow depth looks pretty normal in Dec 2014.

If it is “mixed“ to 850 and it’s 27 at 850 then the sfc has to be consistent with the adiabatic curve. Time of day doesn’t matter.

Time of day does matter if you want to realize the max sfc temp for the day using 850.  Reaching 27 C after peak heating is not the same for sfc temp as already being 27 C in the morning and the mixing out fully for peak heating.

Nothing ever like that winter in recorded history up here.  It was an experience for sure to try and operate a ski area through that.  We even started up our summer activities that holiday period, like high ropes course, climbing walls, zip lines and stuff, to give all the hotel guests at least some activities.

I know what you're talking about but that is different. 

This is what I am referring too. I think The History Channel had removed the episodes from their page and then get flagged and removed from other accounts because I am always seeing them reposted under different accounts.
