Yup and I am hearing some thunder now from the storms to the north.
The Iceman
Lots of lightning outside of the storms, just had a really close strike by my house and we are a good 20-25 miles from the rain
The Iceman
37 minutes ago, Newman said: You can find the warm front pretty clearly on the latest 18z SBCAPE mesoanalysis. Surface obs are also evident... middle 80s in York, southern Lanco, Philly right now, but low to middle 70s still across the rest of SE PA. I do think this warm front will continue to lift northward but I don't have much confidence in how much in the next 3-4 hours. Some of that messy cloud debris near Harrisburg appears to be thinning out as it slides eastward, and we're getting more sunshine across the Lehigh Valley... All of that to say I think the Trenton/KOP/Philly area will maximize instability and low-level shear just south of the warm front. We shall see... Great write up Newman, was hoping to hear your thoughts I’m really liking my backyard we are in a great spot for instability and shear.
LVblizzard
I have my eye on the stuff north of State College. If the Lehigh Valley is going to see any severe weather, it’ll be from that. If it can latch onto the warm front it might get pretty gnarly.

The Iceman
That cell in central bucks quickly went supercellular. I’d expect a severe thunderstorm warning on it soon

enpawx_observer
77/75 here. Temp has been more or less stable for the last 3 hours. Also of note, seems like there is still lingering smoke around here.
MGorse
Watch those discrete cells in Lancaster County as they quickly move eastward. Some small discrete cells currently developing in southern NJ. 1 1
Newman
3000 MLCAPE/5000 SBCAPE creeping into Philly now. Low level lapse rates also finally looking somewhat decent too. 3

That activity will more likely than not become outflow dominant by the time it reaches the Lehigh Valley. Maybe some embedded spinners, but more likely a damaging straight line wind threat

MGorse
Some outflow moved through here (or warm front slipped a bit southward) with a wind shift out of the north-northwest. Temperature down to 80F after a high of 87F. Dew point down to 74F (peaked at 80F earlier).
Mikeymac5306
Just got home from a week in the Outer Banks. Who turned on the smoke and humidity? Hearing thunder in Exton which looks to be from the storm popping up in the west end of the county.
