Was just 50 degrees here hours ago. 

Moderate snow, sticking to everything and 30 degrees just before 1 am here in the Poconos.

Not sure if it's wind (downed trees) or snow related, but 309 over the Blue Mountain has been closed all night. Trying to get a hold of my night shift truck partner to find out why.

25 degrees, windy and 1.5” of snow my lane is covered with snow. White wonderland out.

29 when I left the house. 1.63” of total liquid but still waiting for some encrusted sleet/snow to melt off the funnel of the gauge, will report back later. Probably going with .2” of snow/sleet as things were decently covered when I went to bed last night and it was still snowing. Nice little event and today should be a heck of a winter day. Curious to see how far east some squalls can make it later today. March, always a trip.

Morning low of 27 in Maytown. Total precip yesterday was 0.63" which likely puts me solidly in last place in the QPF derby. I struggled to go with either a T or .01" for snowfall, ultimately I went with a T because I couldn't verify .01" when I went out last night. When in doubt, I slightly undercut. Was still nice to see wintry precip within 90 minutes of temps in the 60s.

Breezy and unseasonably cold weather today with some snow flurries possible this afternoon into the evening. There will be a hard freeze tonight so protect any plants that you may have put outside already. We will continue with below normal temperatures through Thursday (upper 30's to upper 40's) before we moderate to nearly normal both Friday and Saturday (low to mid 50's). Our next chance of rain or snow looks to possibly arrive on Friday night. We will fall back to below normal temperatures by next Monday.

 Here are the links to the rest of the radar data from that day. They expire Friday I believe so if you want to download them do it now. I'm probably not going to be able to get to anything analysis wise until later this week because how busy we are. The two links I provided are for the velocity scan at 0.5° and for a longer version of the base reflectivity at 0.5°.

Just a quick follow up to your (excellent) post - last night's frontal passage ended up verifying a lot of the pre-event hype that people were calling bust on. There were a total of 476 confirmed wind damage reports within the MOD/ENH/SLT areas. Also appears that it's likely that at least one Tornado touched down in Kent County in DE.

I don't understand this. If they only blocked your ass, you should still be able to see just fine.

The snow squalls are feisty today. Just had a nice one go through and put down a fresh half inch and take the temp all the way from 29ºF to 22ºF.

I don't know how much people where following my post late Sunday night and  Monday, early morning., but when I saw the warm sector start to completely fill with blips,the whole northern periphery of the line waning and not a single rotating cell overnight I knew something was way off from all the evolutions I had seen to that point.  Part of me felt like this severe weather threat was going to be to be quite muted  at that point ,but also no better than to state, something like that given the situation.   I also had mentioned that if we were going to fail that it would be a thermodynamic failure, but I think that was probably pretty obvious for a lot of people with neurons. .It actually wasn't just a thermodynamic failure as you already know, it was also a wind field failure.  I was  noticing going through  the wind  at m working with each other and flow, and not against. I'll have a  little more confident to speak up next time I see it.   

    I apologize for my outburst before the storm . Even though I believe there's truth to it, I didn't handle  things  properly at all. I just wanted people to stay the hell away from me until I can do what I wanted to do without getting flustered. I just started posting before thinking as usual. I also didn't realize until going back and reread everything that it probably looked like I was just talking about you and that's certainly not the case. With me everything is always accumulative and nothing to do with anything that one person did and i'm very sorry. I actually care about every single person in our sub even the people I don't like them.  Anyways, I just wanted to get that out there. I'm still far too exhausted to really think clearly. Work has been rough today. not a lot of fun being out here feeling like this.

Change your I p address make a new screen name/e mail, go back and give em hell. If they block your I p location, you'll have to get an I p location blocker and  VPN make a new  a new screen name, go back and give them even more hell . At that point, the only way they can block you is by closing down member sign up / subscriptions.

Whatever ripped on the Blue Mountain out my way was nasty. 309 was closed for 14 hours for cleanup. My night shift partner hit it and thought it was going to flip the truck.
