At 10:00pm there continues to be wet snow mixed in with rain.  My temp has dropped another 10 degrees since my last report, now down to 33.8  Winds have only occasionally gusted to 20, otherwise only around 10 to 15 mph.  Pressure has risen 7 millibars in the past two hours, from 29.20" to 29.41" or 996mb.  I'm up to 1.12" of precip for the day and still accumulating.  The precip mix should keep mixing with more snow and less rain during the next hour.  Hopefully all snow by 11:00pm.

The frontal storms were far worse wind wise. I had the pleasure of being outside when it hit due to a little huskey puppy that after taking a deuce decided the cool breeze was too good to leave despite the rain and took off running around the yard.

...RAIN CHANGES TO SNOW THIS EVENING...

Much colder air continues to work its way into Central PA behind a
cold front, allowing for rain to change to snow. The snow could be
heavy at times. Snowfall totals of up to 2 inches are possible,
especially on grassy surfaces and sidewalks. Road temperatures
will continue to fall through the night, and minor accumulations
on roadways are possible.

If only we had some winter of 2010 type blocking stalling that front out right now and a small little shortwave riding up the front at the sc/nc border and a little gun powder via upper air low flying in from the southwest we would feasting because that shortwave would be also with this baraclinic boundary. 30 miles 30; degrees. On that fanciful note the snow is starting to mix in

@MAG5035
When is the last time I set up like that had us cash in?

Just before 11:00 here in Carlisle it appears to be snowing almost completely with very little, if any rain still in the mix.  My temperature has dropped to 32.9 degrees.  My backyard camera is showing the snow hitting my pavers which then are melting quickly.  I'm sure it is starting to accumulate in the mulch and maybe a little grass.  Total precip now up to 1.12" for the day.  Maybe we will wake up to a surprise with a white ground?

Quick update...I should have actually looked outside.  It is completely snowing, moderately, and it already has been accumulating on the grass, mulch, and my car.  There might even be a few tenths of accumulation so far.  Another good indicator is my grill cover is also totally white.  Temp now 32.7 degrees.

Well, it's looking like the party's over here.  The snow has quickly come to an end.  Radar clearly shows a very sharp back end that has been rapidly progressing east, and has just reach me in central Cumberland County.  The temp is holding now at 32.4 degrees.  Using my car for accumulation measurements, I just measured 0.3" of snow.  Sidewalks and streets are still just wet.  Grass is white everywhere.  Maybe during the overnight snow showers develop with enough intensity to add a bit more on to the storm totals.

Similar conditions in Marysville with eyeballing a similar amount of snow as well on the grass & car tops. Roads were showing early signs of caving on the edges, but things are winding down quickly.

What a fascinating day of weather! Good night everyone.
