Nice man!  I’m in Falls too…I need a snowboard but most of my yard seemed to have like 17”. Maybe I was low!

Compaction for sure. Most of my yard is 17-18” depths now. I was measuring my snowboard every hour basically all night and I cleared the board at 11 pm so that’s why. You’re not supposed to clear it I think until 12 hours but I needed to because of the blowing. That could have inflated my total by an inch or two. Several other reports near by of 20+ though!

Amazing storm for our area for sure. I was pissed that I passed out before midnight and missed the deform band. Too many edibles

Snow is melting quick here. A third of it is gone already.

You aren't joking i might be down to 7 or 8" already

This is why I always say I am a Dec to early Feb snow person before the sun angle season. Don't get me started on night vs day snow..

And furthermore, I think AccuWeather handled the storm much better than NWS. And don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen it go the other way plenty of times as well. NWS stubbornly held onto bad predictions in a huge swath of this region when we amateurs could see it was never going to verify. Earlier in the event, you could see where the banding was setting up. I believe it was the 11 PM update last night that NWS posted an additional 4 to 12 inches for the Lehigh Valley, which was just pure bullheaded stubbornness.

Well the infamous INACCU Weather blew it big time for guys like Iceman and me  We doubled their measly prediction   On a side note, they actually went to court to block NOAA from having an app  That's how cut throat they are, and their  pay rate is a joke.

Yes, AccuWeather, particularly through lobbying efforts by its former leadership, played a major role in preventing the National Weather Service (NWS/NOAA) from releasing its own official mobile app

to avoid competing with private sector weather companies. AccuWeather argued that the government should not compete with private apps, hindering the NWS from providing direct, official apps for years

Storm totals remind me of those events in 2009/10, only cut East to West instead of South to North.  Experienced some rough gradients back then.  Subsidence next to the primary convection is unforgiving.

Also, I've noticed Mt. Holly tends to have an underlying tendency towards aggressive forecasting, and I say that as someone that doesn't live in the CWA full-time, anymore.  I think that's just their forecasting philosophy or preference.

Family member had to break out the snow shoes on the farm in Farmingdale, NJ

What a difference a week makes. Last Monday, my sister wore her sneakers for the first time this season, and we went on a walk around the neighborhood.

Now, we have a lot of snow to shovel. (We've been out at least twice now. Me three times.)

By far. I enjoyed the first storm quite a bit more than yesterday. This one is already kinda sloppy looking. Still cool to look at when it's happening but the lifespan is much shorter come late Feb heading into March...

Very much enjoyed this storm! Final total here was 10.4", the low end of the forecast, but we made double digits for the first time in years here. Nice noreaster, reminded me of a couple of coastal storms from yesteryear, starting as rain and changing to snow as it got going.

Lost power for 15 minutes last night, no biggie. Only downside is the wet snow at the beginning did a number on the bamboo, then it just kept piling on, as you can see in the pic.  There is a tent under the bamboo, lol. But yeah, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Gives this winter an A grade for me.  Snow total so far is 34.5", above average for sure. The snow pile is content as well, lol.

Agree this feels way lower impact than the system 4 weeks ago ironically.

This will forever be remembered for me as the winter of two storms, one that wasn't a blizzard but felt like one and the other that was a blizzard but didn't feel like one.
