Physicsteve
On the contrary xmas lights are kept up for just such an occasion. I have an issue with rain and my lights/fuses/gfci but snow doesnt seem to effect them thankfully 9
BBasile
Just had the lights flicker. Not good considering most of our lines are underground. I've only lost power a handful of times in my life living here.
Ralph Wiggum
Just measured 5", so I am in a 2"/hr band attm. Hrrr ticked west with the heavy snow gradient in se pa fwiw. 3
Lucy Pull
0z HRRR hot off the presses. Model Ratio No longer brings the coastal banding into western Lehigh Valley. Crazy to see 2ft still showing up in Jersey in addition to what’s already fallen.

Looks to me like heaviest snow should start shifting east of here with our heaviest snow ending during the next hour. We should have much longer then an hour

Impressive rates this evening and after 06z was supposed to be the heaviest if I remember right, this is going to be an all timer for se pa on east.

I don't often feel the need to speak up but, my dude, hang on to the incandescent white lights. I'm LED everywhere except with them. I'm at Home Depot after every Christmas buying a case of them for like $1.50 a pop.

Mine were still mostly under a glacier until as late as yesterday. I probably could have pulled them up through what was left of the old snow, but had other priorities yesterday and today, so they yet remain. I've got 4 x 50' strands wound around all the shrubbery in my front yard still. (They haven't been on since mid-January though.)

Didn't even look at my gauge, just estimated from the amount that's piled up on the railing of the porch.
