Euro ai locked on to what would basically be the final solution for yesterdays event around 108 hours, but it had the general idea right of a storm tracking to our south well before that, and well before the other models.

We don't know if this is just a blip like the 12z Icon or legit, which I know you know. Unfortunately, we're back to biting our fingernails again every 6 hours for the next few days to find out.

And then there's the "it's all downhill from here" issue since it can't realistically get better than this run.

I wish I  loved warm weather damn it.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that. Euro AI was one of the last models holding on to the idea of back-end heavy snow for most of MD

Yeah I’m not talking about the specifics like that, I’m talking about the general Synoptics of where the storm would be.

Well all the more reason to say weigh the ensembles more for the weekend storm through Th.  I agree with the post that once it went to a southern slider it locked in.

Hollup...this is supposed to be my storm, right? The one where if it happens I will take the merciless trolling? I'll tell you what...If we get to Thursday and it’s still a thing, then I'll start the thread if that's okay with the mods. I might call it the "We don't get big storms after Feb 20th" thread, or the "Ain't no way..." storm!  I doubt it works out but it's a win-win for me in terms of trolling!

With those snowfall maps, there must be a few really warm members skewing it. I noticed some slp members inland in NC, VA, and in or near MD. They're probably the culprits.

the EPS has not been good this year and its only 4-5 days away. Storms form on the the same day they blitz us

Damn I thought you moved to the desert too. Prevailing winds off of the higher terrain to the west into the valley...downsloping sucks. Otoh coastal storms or tropical storms with an easterly component do well there.
