Next two weeks are looking more wet than anything else. Drought is going to be busted by mid month. You can tell the pacific and gulf moisture feed aimed at our area on the ensembles. I’d expect 2-3 1”+ qpf events in the next 2 weeks.

The second of those weeks could be our last trackable window, say 3/15-20.

Signal for a nice +PNA growing on euro guidance. It’s more muted on GFS/GEFS. Without blocking though wed need well timed waves. Shortwaves timed right after a cold front. Significant snow likely a long shot, but we’re going to get some decent cold shots if this is legit.

We all know that isn't going to happen. The sun angle is too high and the ground/temps are too warm. Any precip that falls from now until October will be rain.

Are you related to snowman19? You have been wrong on everything this winter.

No, but anyone with common sense knows that there won't be 2 snow events post-March 10. That's only happened once ever (in 2018), and temperatures had cooled long before that. We won't get 2 snow events after this warmup.

Besides, I haven't been wrong on everything this winter. I did say December would be below average temperaturewise, and I called this March warmup at least a month in advance.

Unfortunately, our warmth will be a bit muted for the rest of the work week along with rain much of the time. Today will likely be our "warmest" day of the work week with highs in the upper 40's. The pain of spring in the Northeast with chilly ocean water temperatures will rear its ugly head for the rest of the week as winds back off the very chilly ocean and drive temps back down into the low to mid 40's at best for both Thursday and Friday. We finally warm up for the weekend with temps into the 60's. We should see as much as 0.75" to an inch of beneficial rains over the rest of the work week.

I believe you said 70 by March 1st. It was in the 40's that day FYI. I'm skeptical we hit 70 even this weekend but we shall see, you may end up being right that it gets warmer in spring, gutsy call and all.. no one said 2 snow events you again are putting words in peoples mouths. Heisy is highlighting a period of possible interest not saying there's going to be 2 snowstorms. It snows on average 1/4 March's here, deal with it.

Ya gotta admit, it's a bold prediction stating that temps will warm up as we enter spring. Since we're making gutsy predictions, here's mine...

The Flyers ain't winning the Stanley Cup this year. Ya'll can tell me how brilliant I am come June for sticking my neck out like that :D

Nope it has never snowed here in late March, never happens :clown:

You need to have quite a few things come together for a solid March snow. Not saying it can't happen, but more elements need to be in place.

I remember a few solid April snows one not too long ago.
