Aleksey
Some people are letting those 25-30 inch totals they saw earlier go to their heads instead of being realistic. This isn’t Buffalo, NY.For real! Most of us in here have barely seen a 3”+ storm in the last 8 years and most of NC and upstate is guaranteed 4-6” minimum and y’all are whining like babies lol Charlotte hasn’t received 1” in a single storm in over 1400 days and yall are about to get a absolute minimum 4” and up to 8”. I’m over here pumped about the 3-5” I’m supposed to get in NE GA. Quit being greedy and enjoy the snow we get. Haven’t gotten it in a very long time so anything over 3” is a major win! . 4

eyewall
Look of course I am not literally thinking the 18z Euro is what will play out verbatim. What I will say is emotions are going to run high and yes 3 inches could be considered a relative screw job when you are starting at a once in a decade opportunity at 6+. There are going to be plenty of people here who win big and others who will come away on the losing end. Miss this and it is a long wait for another chance at something big. 15

Yeah and the literal minima in the entire state of NC and almost SC is literally directly over RDU - it's not exactly unexpected for an RDU weenie to be like aw geez here we go again of coooourse it;s right over mby! Ofc the exact minima will move and can't be progged with certainty 2 days out, we all know that. Just a sight that would almost be funny if it weren't so annoying and also so possible haha

I think the national weather service did a good job on their YouTube video. Basically said it is impossible to know where the heavier bands will set up, and there will be winners, and there will be losers.. it’s gonna be great for some and suck for others, but I think at least all of us are going to see some light to moderate snow so I consider that a win. 2

PackGrad05
The euro matched up perfectly with what WRAL predicted with two bullseyes with a dry wedge in between. This should only strengthen their stance. . 3

I like to gamble, let's bring it home! 14% chance in Greensboro is pretty wild. I’ve seen nothing to indicate that is even remotely a double digit possibility. But they are the professionals. Really interesting to watch them take the same data that we all have and assimilate it .

digital snow
Yes, it is very likely that RDU sees a significant snow, but not the low percentage boom scenario. But if this baby booms, nws says it booms imby. Ill take that all day!

ADB83
My scientific explanation for the 18z Euro suite is that the European model has a personal beef with Wake County, North Carolina…and they want Wake County to know that it’s personal. . 2
