Do y’all remember that snow storm in the 00s when the Asheboro had over a foot of snow that shocked forecasters! It was like some type of Uwharrie Mountains enhancement. IDKMBFFJ
I'm getting my daughter ready for bed right now, making her wear her PJs inside out and drop ice cubes in the toilet. I did this as a kid in Rochester NY and caused an unsuspecting blizzard back in the 2000s, so I'm hoping she has the same powers. If you see snow in the Raleigh area, you're welcome!
PeeDeeWx
I believe ratios in SC were majorly overdone. It’s been light snow for 4+ hours in NE SC and we have an inch. Are heavier bands forecast to come through? I see no chance we get the 5” floor NWS predicted.

Aleksey
Here is the preliminary snowfall totals from our NWS. I put a small yellow circle over where I’m at. 4.2”. You can see the extremely sharp cutoff to almost nothing to our west. 4”+ verified my original forecast of 2-4”, that said back on Tuesday and our biggest since 2011. Cheers to everyone who scored and I feel for those who don’t, because I’ve been on the not scoring any end way more than I’ve ever been on the winning side of winter weather storms down here..

HeartlessBadger
Very light snow, maybe a generous dusting @ 3mi east of RDU. 16.9 degrees. I tell myself after every disappointing winter “storm” that I’m gonna quit being hopeful but I always get suckered back in…this might actually be the straw that breaks the camel’s back tho. Family in western Pitt and Greene Counties reporting at probably 6”+. I am happy for them but not gonna lie, green with envy.
