Would love for him to be right but he’s just a TV met. We have just as good of analysis here.

Yep, short range models were all over it and the radar is agreeing with them.

Have had some sleet showers occasionally since 4pm with a small coating on stuff here. Having ran around all afternoon to get stuff to fix my generator (its finally working!) I can personally attest it is brutally cold, already down to 19 in Asheboro, the low was suppose to be 19 per the NWS so not sure if it is supposed to start rising with the warm air coming in or if they just missed on the lows.

Weather station just north of me, at 4500' dropped about 6 degrees in the last hour. They currently sit at 4 F.

This is some of the stoutest CAD I’ve ever observed.  The source cold is insane.

The good news- Dry powdery snow will not allow sleet to pile up on electric lines and trees.
