Currently have a snow/sleet mix - you can see the flakes and hear the pingers.  Temp is currently 13 with dp 11.

10F and we have flipped to sleet out here in Western Berks. Glad I just measured so 8” snow now to keep track of the sleet totals. Maybe we flip back later?

Any folks here recall sleet at temps this low? I've only been around the region for 10 years but I cannot.

Ugh I hope so. Those snow rates before the flip were insane! Let's get that coastal cranking and see if it can cool the column.

IP here as well. Glad I listened to Deanna Durante and not Adam Joseph. Shoveling 8” of snow with 2” of sleet on top would be a bitch!

Yeah I shoveled when we had about 5” of snow, now I’ll just have the 2” and whatever sleet falls. Still going to be a bitch later

Am thinking some wrap-around snow finish once the low moves away.  It's sitting right near Hampton, VA. There's some real cold air still out there.

1994 but that was more ice than sleet.

I take a guess and say PDII? We flipped to sleet for a time overnight Sunday into Monday. But other than that, can’t think of sleet with these temps.

winds still out of the north even with the changeover, still 15F. Zero shot we are getting above freezing.

Yeah, it’s a lot better than 8-10 inches of snow underneath it. That’s crazy for the TV forecasters to say don’t shovel snow.

Not really only during a pure Miller B does wrapped around snow really happen and it’s short-lived

Timed that one nicely....just got in from snowblowing. By the time I was done, a fresh quarter to half inch of snow fell to protect the walkways then swiftly turned over to pouring sleet. Off to commence beer drinking on the championship Sunday. Will deal with the garbage in the AM.

Here in southwestern Lehigh County, snowing, but starting to get the occasional dreaded ping mixed in. Still only 10° here and we have to be closing in on 10-11” as I prepare to go to work.
