Guys. It's snow. Come on. Let's stop arguing. If it snows, it snows. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Arguing about it won't change what actually happens. Either Noteast101 is right or he's wrong. I hope he's wrong. I hope we transfer over to a coastal and it blasts us. If it doesn't, it doesn't. The souffle will either rise or it won't. There's not a damn thing you can do about it.

I second that and I hope I’m 110% wrong!!!!!

Spoiler

Looks like the NWS-Philly heard me, lol, as they bumped their warnings back to where they were last night increasing snowfall across the board.  Still don't know why they dropped amounts earlier today.  Anyway, here are the updated warnings; maps aren't out yet.  NWS-NYC are unchanged from this afternoon.

NWS-Philly Counties

  • For Sussex-Warren-Carbon-Monroe-Lehigh-Northampton, the warning is for 10-16" of snow/sleet, but no freezing rain (ZR)
  • For counties in PA/NJ south of 78 (except coastal counties south of Ocean), i.e.,Hunterdon-Somerset-Middlesex-Monmouth-Mercer-Salem-Gloucester-Camden-Burlington-Ocean-Cumberland-Berks-Delaware-Philadelphia-Chester-Montgomery (and Newcastle/Kent in DE), the warnings are for 7-13" of snow and sleet with up to 0.1" of freezing rain accretion, especially SW of Trenton as per the ice map below.
  • For Monmouth, Ocean, SE Burlington, Atlantic and Cape May counties the warning is for 6-10" of snow/sleet plus about 0.1" ZR
  • For all of Delaware the warnings are for 5-8" of snow/sleet and up to 0.2" of ZR

NWS-NYC Counties

  • For W. Passaic, the entire Hudson Valley and the coastal CT counties, the warning is for 12-16" of snow
  • For NENJ (Union/Essex/Hudson/Bergen/E Passaic), NYC and LI, the warning is for 8-12" snow/sleet plus a light glaze of ZR

Listen, I hope you’re right, I’m just going on latest models, Upton just lowered amounts, the ice/snow line is now farther north than anticipated, this is what I’m just going on, so I hope you’re 110% right

But you're clearly not going on the latest models, which is the annoying point .  Upton didn't lower anything and Mt. Holly just raised snowfall forecasts by a couple of inches across the board in their warnings as per my other post (they had cut too much).

06z NAM with an interesting change. Sleet line shifts back south after coming north, something unseen in the prior runs.

God bless computer models. I'm anxious to see the results. We'll know in 12 hours who was right and who was wrong.

Had a little time to do an updated final call overnight before the storm starts. Pretty much unchanged except flattened out the 8/12" lines across NJ and brought the range up from 12-16 to 12-18 and included W Ulster in 18-24" now.

Good luck guys.

Edit: fixed an error with ranges at the bottom

It’s definitely snowing in Trenton. I’m right across the river, 5 miles west and it’s steady now. Pixie dust the last hour before that.

Trenton just updated.  Started snowing as of 4am.
