NAM was always considered the best with thermals. I would pay attention to the NAM, HRRR, and some of the hi-res runs once we're inside of 60 hours when it comes to sleet vs ZR. It's really impossible to say at this point. There will, however, be an area that get's screwed with mostly ZR, on the periphery of the sleet area. I'm thinking that will likely be NE GA, N SC, and eastern NC.

 Are most of y’all also having major issues with accessing certain wx sites thanks to the extreme wx? I’m not just talking about NOAA sites, which I haven’t been able get to at all all day.

Not sure anyone posted but CMC was a little south and a touch colder. FV3 gets precip in earlier (the finger) and because of that it starts as light snow for most of NC. Looks a hair colder that other modeling west of here too

I hope so. The alternative is less sleet and up to 0.75” in that darker area. Overall agreed though

Anyone know verification scores of the HRRR at its end point of runs? Been a minute since I studied that model's scores. Storm will be coming into our playing field on the 18z.

GSP just posted their first call map on social media. Going with .50-.75 ZR and less than an inch to up to two inches of snow/sleet for the GSP metro area. QPF starting at 3pm Saturday.

Funny enough the surgeon said today he would be there barring icepacolypse. His concern was the rest of the team who live in Pittsylvania county.
