I am planning on going up to southern VA for this one. This is definitely their system more than ours.

Born Again is down by Danville. I think he does pretty well but Smith Mountain over to Roanoke looks like a pretty sweet spot to be. I’m like right on 81 just south of Roanoke myself.

yeah I am leaning more in the Danville direction for now. Worst case is I get wrecked on slots at Caesars.

Dewpoints actual vs HRRR at 3 pm:

GSO -10

CLT -1

RAH -9

ROA -0

 

This tells me the warm front to the south has not advanced as far north as modeled. If this continues I would expect the rain/snow line as well as the heavier rates to shift south, although too early too have any confidence in this scenario based on OBS

Yeah if it was a higher end event I would consider something like that. I figure if it pans out I can get some good shots of the High Bridge Trail.

If you went to Danville I think you would have been disappointed. I lived there for 4 years and they tend to bust low with these type of storms. I think they get an inch maybe 2 max and end up mixing or turning over.
