Driving from home in NC Richmond definitely has a solid few inches but was turning to a more sleet mixed with snow when I left at 4:45. Most snow is by Fredericksburg and southern MD

Haven’t measured yet since it’s still snowing, but I would guess it’s around 0.5-1.0” on the board. Only accumulating on grass and cars though.

Glad Howard County is open. Every closing just adds days in June, which sucks for summer vacations.

Normal schedule. Given the timing of the snow I’m shocked they didn’t delay since, unless there was a significant southern shift over night, the area is supposed to get roughly an inch, and based off of other posts here this system isn’t underperforming.

Snowing and 27 in Germantown, about 1/3" on the ground.  Haven't other winters with first snows on Dec. 5 turned out pretty good?

LWX killed the WWAs… I’d like to think the districts consult with LWX and they debbed it overnight. Seems like a sketchy call as radar looks now.

They were definitely embarrassed about the delay for rain so I think that unfortunately is impacting their decision today.

I don't think it was wise to cancel that advisory. IMO, there was zero downside to keeping it in place.

I think there is a little bit of truth to this but it’s clear whoever makes the call in each county is pretty incompetent and doesn’t have any understanding of the weather.
