Yep, BUT figuring out how to win being down 10 with 8-9 minutes left in the game does say something.  I KNEW there was no way UVA was gonna cover a 17 point spread lol. If you are/were a betting person that was an EASY pick, to not cover. Wa ST isn't a bad team, I can see them going 7-5 and bowling with their remaining schedule, heck they almost pulled off a win at then #4 Ol Miss the week before.

oh trust me i was happy they won. maybe they were a bit slow from having the bye week.

Elliott is actually undefeated off bye weeks, so I would've been hoping for better. But hard not to be super stoked as a UVA football fan. Was at the Florida State game and got my tickets for Tech. Would be unbelievably frustrating to be 9-1 and lose against Tech still to drop us from the CFB Playoffs. Hurts me to type it

Thanks for tagging me @WxWatcher007!! I’ll gladly help provide some insight.

First, congratulations to your son opting to go for meteorology! It is a rigorous subject to study and master, but when you truly love something, you will give it your all to succeed and I have no doubt he will do that! No matter the case, if he ever has questions, creating an account here and chiming in on the Banter page will certainly help alert us and we can answer any questions!

As for school choice, that is a big life decision and as you mentioned has multi-faceted criteria for picking what is best. Since you are in Virginia, HIGHLY recommend staying in-state with the current state of school cost. Unless there is a well planned and funded secondary source (509’s, inheritance, etc.) which is none of my business and what you can manage… I do recommend staying in your state of residence for lower cost burden. VA has multiple schools for Meteorology and the Virginia Tech program already has a history of putting out grads into the Weather Service and private enterprise. I actually now a few myself, and they are excellent meteorologists. It’s a great program, but does lack a Grad program, as previously mentioned. Having said that, the curriculum is still very respected and the masters programs, if you son is interested, can be accessed at other schools, including the ability to do it virtually!! Millersville University of Pennsylvania (My Alma Matter) has two online Masters programs geared towards Emergency Management or GIS. Mississippi State has an excellent program, as well as Western Kentucky University, University of Oklahoma, and others. The accessibility to have a Masters education is now easier than before, and each school has its niches to help wherever a grad student wants to move towards.

Some Universities also have ties together due to professor influences (Millersville had connections to North Dakota University, Wisconsin-Madison, and Wyoming), and others do as well. There’s so many options at the end of the Undergraduate tunnel. My recommendation is staying in-state to save cost (VERY HELPFUL for the future for debt) and go from there. Virginia Tech is a great program and probably a top choice for VA, but UVA I believe also has a program and is also well respected! I hope this helps and good luck to your son and family choice on the next step!!

Thanks a ton!   Great tips.

Lamar practiced yesterday and today, but was limited. Really need to see him be a full participant tomorrow to be confident he will play Sunday.

Bears lead the league in forcing turnovers. Cooper Rush will fumble twice and throw 4 picks lol.

Ravens sign Carl Lawson. Eh, mid. Not likely gonna move the needle much on pressuring the QB.

Yeah but I mean...you can't expect needle moving on the FA market at this point in the season, lol If any needle moving happens it'll have to be via trade--and we still have  a week to go for that.

I don't see a meaningful trade happening. I mean, who is actually available that will have a big impact? Simmons? Crosby? No chance. They got what they got and will have to live with it. Why the hell is Ojabo still on this team? EDC has done a poor job with this roster overall.

He's done poorly in the trenches. But no way you can say the entire roster is bad. All he has to do is fix ths lines next year and we will be a more complete team.

Oh okay. Well you said "the roster overall"...so that implies the roster as a whole. Start saying what you actually mean, dang it lol

Funny thing about those trenches...on the defensive side we were second in sacks last year with a similar roster. What happened? Madubike being out must be a major factor. Either way...lack of a premier pass rusher continues to plague EDC like wide receiver did Ozzie, smh

Speaking of the trenches, they better make a change at at least one guard position this week. Looking at you Faalele. He is so terrible yet we are constantly told he is talented and improving. GTFOH with that shit. Ben Cleveland is better and a natural guard but perpetually in Harbaugh's illogical doghouse.
