Pretty breezy here.

.

Nothing really here yet. Peak gust jumped to 7.9 mph. Since the neighbor removed a big pine tree in their backyard, my station is more open. Last week after the front, I recorded a 24 mph gust.

Never ceases to amaze me...every year we come out here to Pittsburgh for a Steelers weekend and the number of people wearing PSU gear is at least double over Pitt. I did get some ribbing today from a few Pitt fans about Franklin...they had no idea how happy I am.

Who are you thinking for his replacement? Rhule? Joe Brady? Cignetti?

It's Rhule's job to lose:

1) State College native

2) Penn State player/alum, last remaining branch of the Joe Paterno coaching tree

3) Was with Patrick Kraft at Temple

Rhule is a bad hire. You can say what you want about Waco, Texas and Lincoln, Nebraska, but his record against ranked teams is piss poor. He's basically hwite Franklin.

Somebody bring me Jon Gruden.

Yeah, I have no idea who Kraft will look for. I feel like it might end up being someone not on everyone's radar right now. Just a hunch.

I love me a rainy Sunday in the fall. Football, chilly and darkness. I'll be in Pittsburgh at the Steelers game and will be anxious to see/hear what happens back this way as I won't be home until later Monday.

FWIW, Elliott isn't expecting much rain at all here, and probably little to none on Sunday itself:

Looks like Elliot gets an atta boy on his forecast.

Low of 55 with .07” of rain. I am not in favor of a Rhule hire, would prefer Manny over him. But really I just prefer a wide open search to explore all avenues, and I think that’s what they’ll do. They need someone who can carry his weight schematically. Enough of the Mickey Mouse stuff on offense, scheme an actual passing game and actually develop a quarterback. There’s no more hoarding of talent with everyone getting paid and moving around. Must find an edge on the whiteboard. The rest of this season will likely be a sh$t show, but I’ll still watch ha. Onward.

Here in East Nantmeal we have picked up 0.13" of rain so far today. This brings our 3-day total to 0.32" with steady but light rain still falling. Some models have up to another 0.25" to 0.50" of additional rain before the chances of showers start to diminish tomorrow. Temperature wise we should be well below normal levels for mid-October with highs in most spots in the low to mid 50's, Tomorrow we should see the warmest day of the work week with temperatures into the mid to upper 60's. We then see another cool down through the rest of the week. By Friday morning we look to see low temperatures in the 30's but many of our valley locations already saw their first freeze last week. The higher spots look to continue their growing (freeze free) season into November which has been typically the case for elevations above 600 feet across Berks and Chester Counties .
