Unfortunately it is. Although, as you might have guessed, I am far right, but I believe that the global warming is a result of the burning of fossil fuels. I differ in the approach of how to solve it.

I’m keeping the climate change/power sources posts, someone else can do what they want with them, but the posts that turn it into diatribes about politics that always lead to trolling and bickering, are beyond ridiculous. IMO if it’s a constructive discussion that’s fine and it’s a slow weather period; when it devolves into ridiculousness it has no place here. 1

I don't think politics will solve it. It is a humanity issue. I don't care for politics one way or the other. I just want to live my life, study infectious disease and climate change, and keep my family happy. I would like to think that left, right, center, would all agree that we need to change but nobody will ever agree in the solution. Just like I mentioned bioheat must be a major part for our area. As for the weather, we are in the doldrums right now of boring weather. Wake up, smoke, go to bed, smoke, comfortable temperatures but this has been a tough week of weather. Hoping we push this $hit out of here.

Sundog
Looks like the models have the bigger heat a hair inland as I see lots of southerly winds next week. It's also not that hot, some days are not hot at all. Good news for big heat haters.

China has lots of other issues, so even if it widens its lead on energy, those other issues could still adversely affect China. Authoritarian approaches tend to be rigid and rigidity ultimately undermines innovation. It also has an aging population, which will constrain its labor market growth. If we have mostly southerly flow it'll be the 92/75+ type conditions, if westerly downslope with 20+C 850s many of us will make a run at 100 but have dews more in the 65-70 range.
Picard
Light rain/drizzle. Just a trace. Mostly cloudy all day and kinda gloomy. The lawn is a browned out wasteland in many spots here. I suspect there will be some new D0 expansion when the new drought map drops tomorrow.
