Flash flooding hit parts of the area. A cell set up over DTW and dropped 2.68" officially but 4-5" JUST west. Also rains north of Detroit dropped 2-5" in southern Macomb co. Meanwhile just 0.33". Really been missing out this summer here.

Hit 92° at ORD and 93° at MDW today. It also tagged 90° at MDW yesterday, while ORD missed by a couple of degrees.

ORD has more than doubled DTW. 

88 today for a high at DTW, total of 10 days this year of 90+

Radar says 3.5-5.0" was at Romulus/DTW airport and maybe 3.5-4.0" at Fraser/Mt Clemens, northeast of Detroit.

A good part of the year so far, even though we're going to have to pay for the string of wet months at some point in the future. Just as expected, the 6th consecutive wet month. Currently at 29.08" for 2025, just less than 20" needed to at least tie the 10th wettest year on record (48.99" in 2018).

Picked up 0.15" anvil rain/ISS early this morning.  Up to 5.42" for July now.

As of yesterday MLI/DVN was at 8.74"/8.21" for July.

The sirens went off at 2am here for severe wind, but it only reached about 50 mph.  The line was also racing through, so we only got 0.33" of rain.  Since mid month we've been very active, but we are only getting small amounts from each event.

Looks like a little early-fall-like storm brewing on Thursday to end the month. TWC has us in the mid-70s for the high.

12z GFS barely lets us even reach 70.

Canadian has us in the mid-70s.

No golfing, but got a sweet view of it after hiking to the summit of Sulphur Mountain.
