The 83 degree setting on my space heater compensates for the lack of sun and also eradicates this excessive moisture at the same time, killing mold. It feels really nice here with a nice dry 83 degree heat (actually it's 85 since the heater only stops when my room temperature hits 85). My rule of thumb is I can tolerate temperatures in the 60s when there is no wind and the sun is out. But if there is no sun and it's windy my heat needs to stay on. The space heater nicely compensates for the lack of sun and nukes the moisture in the air too. My indoor humidity is only 44% right now. Really might want to be check for diabetes and get a relative humidity sensor. Warm air holds more moisture so heating this time of year will allow indoor air to become more moist. Mold is not killed by 85 degree heat. It is killed by sunlight and lack of moisture. So unless you are UVing the room, that heat won’t be killing it. You also should not have mold in a properly build house, so that should be remediated. Diabetes also makes the body feel cooler than it is. Sleep experts all recommend sleeping below 68 degrees.

Sundog
It's actually a HAIR cooler for next Monday because the wind is more off the water by a tad compared to 0z. But 12z keeps heating up more and more for next Tuesday.

These WNW flow heat events are where we really roast and heights are absurdly high. We’ll see if that verifies (107 is likely too high but could definitely be 100+ if we get the downslope WNW flow) or it becomes our more typical southerly flow FL type heat.

Sundog
MAX temps are probably around 110F because that map is the temperature at 2PM, I have no doubt with that type of flow we would get daytime highs a couple hours later.

Wxoutlooksblog
27 minutes ago, nycwinter said: these euro temps will not verify... I tend to agree. We'll see. I think the message is that it will be hot with probably the hottest heatwave since 2010. Maybe we are locked into at least 5 consecutive days of mid 90s+. And I would look for the hottest days to top out probably between 102-104 if we do in fact exceed 100. Lots of time for the 100s to become unraveled here. It can all be messed up with backdoor fronts, onshore winds, or thunderstorms. WX/PT

There's no way we're escaping this. Trust me I'd love nothing more. If this verifies someone is recording 110F.
