How much new since this morning?

Not sure, was my first measurement.Assumed it had compacted / melted by ~.25 inches. Still going pretty good here, I'm about halfway between E Milton square and lower mills. Seems like around quincy center is where things kind of stalled out.

The only precip within 400 miles of New England is on the northern border heading east.  I can’t imagine we get anything tonight.

where will the projected precip come from, out of thin air? Well maybe actually.

If you don't see any returns between 8-10pm tonight then be concerned i guess.

Last of today's ice pics... Blades of my Rainwise anemometer covered in ice with ice extending outward... Every blade of grass encased in ice and nice ice fan emanating from one of my snow stakes...

Very similar look in the hills on both sides of the river in terms of icing amounts. Let’s grab a little more overnight PpUZv3S.jpglddlteQ.jpg

Looks like -SN at Mia Casa, 14/10°F

Afternoon max was 13-14" and it's down a couple from that, but the max will be the 24° from 9:01 last evening.
9 hours of occasional S-- since 7 AM has failed to produce measurable snow, but it picked up a tiny bit in the last few minutes.  Radar makes the current echoes look more like a forerunner of the evening event than part of last night's snow.

The southern 3 rows of counties in Michigan had a bad ice storm yesterday. Worst ice storm in 50 years in Detroit. The beauty is incredible but the destruction sucks. I lucked out with my trees, others didnt.

Was following that... Nasty... Ice accumulation can be so amazing, unfortunately heavy icing leads to big headaches and heartbreak.
