* At 315 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Youngstown,
or 8 miles north of Niagara Falls, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

That storm just east of you is the real mvp so far.  Lake Erie marine layer is going to win this battle further west. Looking pretty ragged

Not one drop of rain today. Lake Erie is a bastard in these early summer setups.

Same here. Nada. Pretty amazing when you think about how much moisture was in the atmosphere. Maybe we'll see some with the actual frontal passage.

I had 1.12" rain yesterday, mainly in afternoon with a garden variety thunderstorm.  Severe threat looked to generally not materialize.

It seems even when severe parameters are quite favorable, the marine air wins out every time. The only storms that seem to survive/thrive are the elevated warm frontal ones.

Well the boundary of the marine layer proved to be a massive trigger for a pretty high end event yesterday. The damage in Livingston and Ontario counties was pretty extensive. 100mph microburst/downburst really rocked portions of 20a.

Wow, pretty intense. Totally agree, you could watch all those cells just pop on the east side of that layer, one after another.

There was golf ball sized hail not too far west of us in Victory. I ended up with 0.82 inch of rain but nothing severe. Winds were stronger here this afternoon probably in the 25-30 mph range.

With NAO going negative after March 23rd to April 10th, I would say there's a high chance we will be seeing PV in that tim frame.

I see UrAnus has a high chance of appearing also.

You have no idea what youre missing.

It's 49F here, solid overcast with intermittent drizzle and a brisk NW wind.

Classic Trick or Treating weather.

Our son had a double header for baseball yesterday in the Binghamton area.  It was in the 50s all day (exactly 50 to start the first game) with steady wind, clouds, and intermittent rain showers during the morning.  Everyone agreed it felt like an October football day, not a June baseball day.

Low of 39° this morning which is the 3rd time we have dropped into the 30s this month.  It’s shaping up to be a gorgeous day, though!

35.7 this morning, 36.8 yesterday.  Scattered frost in some fields this morning.  It is the second half of June isn't it?

Few months ago I said we will be lucky to see one or two days of 90's and so far we have not hit 90 degree yet. July looks to be cool/wet pattern coming up.

You really radiate there.

We only got down to 41 and 43 the last couple of mornings.

The heat continues to be focused west of I-81.

We have been considerably cooler out here to the east.
