Tyler Penland
Who's excited to track next week's ice storm? Haha! GFS is on an island with this one. Even it's own ensembles think it's crazy.Possible I guess but wanna see other guidance come in less suppressed. Als23
Got to 12 yesterday morning. Don't expect much for the weekend. Probably a cad and I always have warm south winds inversion when we have cad envents.

Buckethead
I finished January with a snow total of 42.75". That's only .25" less than I received for the entire winter of 2019-2020.It was also the snowiest month I've had since moving here in 2017 (2nd snowiest was March 2018 with 30.5")What a turnaround from December!Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

Tacoma
GSP saying the GFS model showing cold and snow is an outlier. Wasn't the GFS the model that locked on to the last couple of storms? GSP still says that timeframe still needs watching.

It also is a ways out of line from its own ensembles right now.Eventually one of these storms will amp up rather than slide off the coast. Maggie Ace
I've measured 19.8 inches of snow since the New Year here in Maggie. Well above average for the second year in a row and it's February 1st!
Met1985
Iv got 23 inches total this year so far. Im very happy with that especially since the disaster December was.
wncsnow
10.5 here which is a little above the seasonal average. If we don't get any additional snow it would be right in the middle of the past 18 winters being the 8th snowiest. The snowiest of course was the 2009/10 winter. Of the top 8 snowiest winters, 3 of them came from mostly one storm all winter. This year, 2016 and 2018.
Tacoma
I was thinking this storm would surely do the NW trend by now on the models. Kinda weird that all the storms are southern sliders. It's usually the NW trend. There isn't a strong high keeping the storm south, that much I understand. Was hoping the GFS would win out over the Euro. SnowDawg
The NW trend used to be such a friend to our area, now it seems to have completely abandoned us this year. Unless you can score big NW flow, this pattern has been junk since the January event. This will be the 3rd straight weekend with a system missing wide right...
Maggie Ace
Flood Watch hoisted for tomorrow into Friday. 2 to 4 inches of rain will melt what snow remains.

Tacoma
Wow is this place dead, I think the last couple of storms sliding to our southeast has taking the wind out of our sails. Well Monday the 14th looks like a possibility. Man we have those storms slide south and east of us then the midwest storm goes up west of us. What has happened to the good old Gulf Lows we use to get that would slide perfectly to our south to put us on the northwest side of the storm? We hardly ever get those anymore.
Tyler Penland
Interested to see what we are able to squeeze out tomorrow night with any NWF. NAM/GFS both hinting at the potential for a dusting to top off the rain. Nothing big, though. Euro/GFS both also showing potential for a light event along the border on Monday. Temps look sketchy, though.
SnowDawg
Just passed 4 inches of rain so far out of this system. Forecast was 3-4 so that's definitely gonna bust. Looking at the latest HRRR for tonight at least 6 inches storm total looks like a safe bet.
