On the coast right now, rain all day. Watching rain bands approach Morehead City. I'm gonna say about .75" of rain so far for the day. Anyone else see that little spin on the radar just south of Cape Lookout?

NHC does :D

Fayetteville broke its all time low maximum by 10 °F!!.  Today's high was 65 °F.  Previous low max was 75 °F back in 1927.

1.30" on Monday and overnight. Light and steady, no flooding issues. High was only 63.

Meanwhile, we're currently stuck in the dry slot of the system.

Bluefield, Blacksburg, Roanoke, and Danville all posted record low maximums for June 15. Resisting turning the heat back on here. That just feels wrong for mid-June.

Idea of jackets/heat in June after the last few summers sounds awesome (and is).

A lot less wet today than I expected. Just 0.17 so far, but it looks like that's about to change.

The high was 43 last time I looked on Mt Mitchell. Really wasn't too far away from wintry precipitation..

High of 58 IMBY. On June 16! Just. Wow.

Also, over 2 inches of rainfall today too. That was quite the busted NWS forecast of 0.25-0.50 for the day. The rain and drizzle continues even now...

0.40" overnight, making for 0.57" total for Tuesday. Much heavier amounts just to the east of here.

Wow..low was 52 this morning...athens tied their record low of 53.  Pretty wild for   June 17th....going to make the mid 90s this weekend feel even worse though.
