There's actually a gust front with this rain/sleet activity. Temp at IAD just fell from 54F to 47F. I saw gusts of 25-30 mph.

Did you move yet? You’ll find the weather much different out there.

I did.  Been at the new place since March 4.

Definitely, yesterday a perfect example.  Also had several snow showers there a couple days after we moved in.  Several days coming home to wet ground when it was dry at work.

Looks like the nams backdoor northern areas Thursday.  70s might hold well south of here . Have to see what the globals due .

NAM nest still shows that the front will sink back to the southwest later today and cool things down for those northeast of DC.    HRRR seems to be coming on board.

Happy first day of Spring 2.0 folks.

Edit: Didn't realize I'm sitting on the edge of a backdoor cold front, which IMO is one of the most annoying things about weather in spring but also the most interesting. It's like 80 in southern VA

Made it to 62 here, even with lots of sun the last few hours. Back door did its thing today to some extent. Tomorrow will be a different story. Low 80s looks like a good bet here.

Much different in SW Frederick County.  Went to the grocery store at 7:00am and NWS blew it not issuing a dense fog advisory for our area.  The drive from Brunswick along 340 to the Catoctin bridge was horrible, then it cleared up.  It will be very interesting to see how warm we get today here.  Still overcast with showers.

Hottest temperature of the year so far here. 82 degrees and humid. It couldn't possibly drop 30 degrees in 24 hours, right?

Sure looks like it will be quite different feeling tomorrow.

Too bad all the dynamics are well north with the front. Weak sauce showers moving through down here.
