Guys I'm a bit out of the loop... exactly how far west will the rain/snow line reach overnight/tomorrow?

Most of the area will see rain showers/drizzle at some point.

The LOT AFD mentions .5-0.6in QPF for tomorrow night so combined with tonight's totals, this seems not entirely impossible.

Radar doesn’t look half bad for once this event.

...

Gotta say... as someone who lived in Lakeview for 8 years and then moved onto 2+ acres in the woods (in the burbs)...

Lakeview is kind of like the suburbs of the city. Just sayin’.

My rainer call was $. Heading into February with less than 6” on the season. Did have some on again off again freezing rain.

Next to buckeye and jackstraw, you may have the third most hostile location for snow on the sub.

Been a hostile location since the legendary winter of 2013-2014. Winters have sucked here since.

Geographic location is everything in winters like this. But even in colder winters we can all get rainers lol. The Lakes regulate temperatures quite a bit and our close proximity to the Atlantic and GOM helps us avoid brutal cold winters.

Snow returns seem to be drying out in Peoria area. Seems like that band is struggling to lift north as well. Flakes are like pixie dust so far

You don't want that brighter band to move north...that's the R/S line.

Lincoln has been rain for a few hours now.

I'm just surprised snowflakes are so tiny. I think my marginal temp now isn't helping. Snow barely accumulating

I know this is nuts, but I've actually thought for more than a second if the University is running top secret weather modification experiments, it's been that bad.

Snow has been pretty light so far this eve.  Picked up 0.2" since the snow began shortly after sunset.

Same thing here. Pretty uneventful so far. Feel like Fri night into Sat will be best here
