I'd go mid 90s in your area for Friday, we'll see with any drenching rain tonight and full sun Saturday and 850 temps of 23c-24c if the park can make a run at 100.

I saw Lee Goldberg basically say the only reason he isnt forecast 100 for the city is because the central park thermometer runs cool. In terms of actual conditions on city streets expect around 100.

As for right now here

90/77 HI 104

Really dont understand why there isnt a heat advisory for the entire area, HI are between 95 and 105 area wide, even along the coast.

Updated to post a heat advisory for northeastern New Jersey, as
temperatures now forecast in the mid 90s will yield heat indices
between 100 and 105 this afternoon into the evening. Conditions
may be close for the NYC area, but with drier air expected to
mix lower dew points to the surface at peak heating, not enough
confidence exists that these conditions will be widespread.
Regardless, expect uncomfortable conditions for today. Previous
discussion below remains valid.

But drier air expected to work in meaning heat advisory conditions would only be met for a few hours. Upton has always been sticklers about making sure there is high confidence the criteria is going to be met

there have been snowstorms where they didn't issue warnings until the snow started falling

Sunday may be a tad warmer than Saturday.

Called this yesterday, always happens during heatwaves.  Second day ends up hotter due to the launch pad being higher.

Yes I've said that about severe t-storm warnings for 20 years lol, and when they are issued early we often don't get it.

and Mt Holly tends to over do it. They'll issue for too large an area out of caution. Living right on the border is frustrating. If my county went to mt holly my warnings would triple I'm sure

Even now My Holly has an excessive heat warning out for Philly and vicinity that goes all the way thru sunday night. There's no way the HI will be over 110 the entire time
